However their procedures and processes are in dire need of reform. We waited 45 mins even though we had an appointment. The doctor didn't wear gloves when he performed the pap smear, I was horrified when the doctor cheerfully announced she was discharging me with no follow up instructions nor pain medicine. Hours after I returned home my husband took me to Whittier Hospital ER & to our surprise the staff there told us that Dr Yang's office had already got the insurance company's approval & there's a room waiting for me! We were so impressed about the efficiency of the great work they had done, bravo!
Tremendous hospital with a brilliant and knowledgeable staff. Had an ER visit with a specialist condition requiring outpatient surgery and a word catheter placement GP saw me instead of specialists, guess they're too special to be called in the afternoon, but you miss it and there is a message telling you you can't have an appointment if they come when they want?! This happens alllllll the time!!! I was transferred to Whittier rehabilitation after a five day stint at UMass Memorial. Whittier was wonderful to me. I came in because my shoulder was bothering me and let me tell you the place is AWESOME.
